David D. Hadden
President and CEO


As President and CEO, David Hadden leads the company in its mission to improve the lives of patients by improving the quality of clinical practice. David has over 15 years of experience as a software executive and is a pioneer in tools for measuring, predicting, and avoiding medical error.

David developed the first artificially intelligent HIV decision support system to assist physicians in developing the optimal HIV treatment plan for their patients and was co-inventor on two seminal patents for that technology. In addition, he has developed dozens of enterprise software applications and is an expert in artificial intelligence-assisted knowledge, process, and training management systems. In his role as president of New Course Analytics, he developed the concept of training analytics, which was awarded another patent for the first training analytics software system [7,181,413, Performance-based training assessment, Hadden, et al].

In his role as founder and CEO of TheraSim, David has combined his experience in health information technology, clinical artificial intelligence, and training analytics to create a dramatic new technology for quantifying and managing clinician skill sets which speeds the introduction of new information into, and reduces the variation in, clinical care delivery and drug development. In conjunction with notable scientists from around the world, David has published TheraSim study data with scientific organizations such as the Infectious Disease Society of America and the Oxford Center for Evidence Based Medicine.

David's vision for improving the lives of patients with chronic and infectious diseases is not limited to the US; he has also overseen the development and deployment of physician training programs in India, Ethiopia, South Africa, Uganda, Nigeria, and Russia.

David has spoken at and conducted seminars and workshops in more than 40 countries and across the United States. Prior to founding TheraSim, David served as President of New Course Analytics, CEO of 5Gen, Inc., and VP of Products and Services for Therapy Edge, Inc.


Gordon Cervenka
Chief Financial Officer and COO


As Chief Financial Officer and COO, Gordon Cervenka manages the company's financial and accounting activities and oversees the day to day operations and service delivery team. Gordon has over 15 years experience in high growth companies and has enjoyed success in venture funding, debt financing, S-1 SEC filing, and strategic acquisitions.

Prior to joining TheraSim, Gordon served as CFO and as VP of Services at ChannelAdvisor Corporation. Gordon has also held management and executive positions with HAHT Commerce, Citigroup, JP Morgan Chase, and Netscape Communications.

Gordon graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts and earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.


J. Logan Holt
Chief Technology Officer


As Chief Technology Officer, Logan Holt is responsible for the architectural design and systems development of the TheraSim Clinical Performance Management System. Logan has over 25 years of experience designing and engineering software-based systems.
Prior to joining TheraSim, Logan served as a Principal Software Engineer for the R&D division of ADC Telecommunications, Inc. (formerly known as PairGain Technologies, Inc.), where he specialized in software design and engineering for embedded, PC and web-based technologies.  While at ADC, Logan served as the Resident Expert for IP-based data communications technologies, and led the design and development of the embedded and interface software systems for the company's first 802.11abg WiFi product lines. 

Additionally, Logan has filed seven patent applications, served on the boards of numerous technology start-ups, and through his consulting companies, assisted in the development of several successful software companies.  Mr. Holt received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree from the University of South Alabama.


JoAnne Schaberick
Vice President, Sales and Business Development


JoAnne Schaberick, Vice President of Sales and Business Development, has over 15 years of experience selling to Fortune 1000 clients in the educational services and training and development markets. Additionally, Schaberick has extensive experience in developing partner sales programs for training analytics.

Prior to joining TheraSim, JoAnne was Vice President of Sales at Capital Analytics. She has also held sales management positions at Sun Microsystems and CVS Pharmaceuticals.

JoAnne graduated from Franklin Pierce College with a Bachelor of Science and earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.


Douglas B. Kubel
Vice President, Product Development


Doug Kubel has over twenty years of high-tech management experience in companies ranging from startups to Fortune 500, with technology ranging from digital media (graphics, imaging, audio, video, games) to enterprise web applications. As TheraSim's VP of Product Development, he is responsible for ensuring that the company's products are specified, designed and built to meet customer needs. Prior to joining TheraSim, Doug was VP of Product at Emergent Game Technologies, and has held executive and management positions at Siebel Systems, OpenSite Technologies, Interactive Magic and Sun Microsystems. He has been developing software since he was a teenager in 1971.

Doug holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University and is a graduate of the Program for Technology Managers at the Kenan-Flagler School of Business of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.


Dr. Douglas D. Blevins
Medical Director


TheraSim Medical Director Doug Blevins provides expert guidance on medical compliance and development of TheraSim products and services. Doug has over 20 years experience as Chief of Infectious Diseases and full-time practitioner at Lewis-Gale Clinic where he became Chairman of Medicine and President of the Board of Directors.

He has served as advisor to or chairman of multiple committees and regularly lectures on antibiotics, infectious disease, and HIV/AIDS. Now residing in Durham, North Carolina, he is involved in clinical, educational, and advisory efforts on behalf of patients, clinicians, and industry.

Doug graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts and earned his MD from the University of Virginia Medical School.
