DURHAM, NC; September 23, 2008 - TheraSim, Inc., a leading provider of Clinical Performance Management (CPM) solutions that enable researchers, health care educators and providers to improve clinical behaviors and skills and predict and avoid deviations from protocols and best practices, has added Michael Tatum to its team as Director of Business Development.

Michael brings over 22 years of sales, marketing and business development experience in the biopharmaceutical, eClinical and CRO industries. . He has particular expertise and prodigious experience in launching new and existing eClinical software solutions into the clinical research market vertical. Michael, who most recently had been Vice President, Business Development at KAI Research, will head up business development efforts for the company's Clinical Performance Management solution focusing on assisting biopharmaceutical companies in their clinical R&D endeavors and establishing enterprise alliance partnerships with CRO's (Contract Research Organizations).

Michael started his career in 1986 as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative with Wyeth Laboratories and has moved forward in positions of escalating responsibility. He has won numerous sales and management awards and has extensive experience in all phases of drug development and clinical research. In recent years he has successfully led the launch and positioning of several eClinical platform solutions. 'I'm extremely happy and excited to join the TheraSim team. TheraSim's CPM platform indeed will positively impact and revolutionize the methodology of clinical research. I'm looking forward to getting out there, working with the biopharma clinical teams and seeing our solution in action", Michael said. Michael has a BS in Zoology and Chemistry from North Carolina State University where he also played football for the Wolfpack. He is a member of Standard & Poor's Vista Research Society of Industry Leaders in the healthcare vertical and resides in the southern coastal region of North Carolina.
