| TheraSim, Inc., presented its simulation-based software for improving the quality of care of patients being treated for HIV/AIDS at the annual HIV/AIDS conference sponsored by the National AIDS Council Organization (NACO). The annual conference is critical for the country's HIV/AIDS efforts by bringing together physicians, government officials, foundations, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to present their findings from research and to network with each other for best practices.
Overall impression of the TheraSim Clinical Simulator among physicians trying out the system during the conference was positive about its potential for use in India, provided the system used approved guidelines for treatment in India and that cases were developed from those typical in the country.
Eleven organizations and hospitals joined TheraSim in a coalition to work collaboratively in improving the quality of clinical practice among clinicians with the TheraSim Clinical Simulator and improving the quality of clinical outcomes by introducing TheraSim's decision support system.
A high-level NACO representative indicated during a TheraSim presentation that the product would be very useful and that he would like physicians at select hospitals in Delhi to pilot using TheraSim.
TheraSim plans to continue its work in India through initiating pilot programs, further building partnerships, and hiring local representatives for marketing and IT support.
